M. Kate Bundorf, Ph.D., M.B.A., M.P.H.

M. Kate Bundorf
is an Assistant Professor of Health Research and Policy at Stanford University School of Medicine. Her
research interests are primarily in the area of health plan choice within competitive systems of
health insurance. Her prior work has focused on U.S. employment-based health insurance, examining how
employers choose health insurance for workers. She has also examined the affordability of private health
insurance in the U.S. and is currently working on projects examining health insurance choices among
Medicare beneficiaries. She is also interested in international comparisons of the financing and
delivery of health care and is currently participating in a range of studies examining the impact of
policy on the productivity of health care in different countries.
