Julie Parsonnet
is an Associate Professor of Medicine and of Health Research and Policy, and Senior Associate Dean for Education at Stanford University. Dr. Parsonnet is interested in the role of chronic infections as etiologic agents in chronic diseases such as cancer and atherosclerosis. In recent years, her work has largely focused on H. pylori and gastric malignancies. She is interested in how infectious agents interact with one another to shape the host immune response and infection outcome. Other work has focused on enteric infections and child health.
