Regional Models for Bioterrorism Preparedness

Project
November 2002 - December 2003

Investigators
Douglas K. Owens - Stanford University
Dena M. Bravata - Stanford University

This project, conducted by the Stanford-UCSF Evidence-based Practice Center, will identify relevant regional models for the delivery of medical and non-medical services in the event of a bioterrorist attack. This includes a framework for identifying the key decisions made by clinicians, public health officials and others during a bioterrorism response. The Stanford-UCSF EPC team will also identify the information systems that facilitate the regionalization of services.
