Rachel Rubinfeld joined Stanford Health Policy in May 2009 to assist core faculty member Jeremy Goldhaber-Fiebert in his research on the amount of benefit childhood illness prevention technologies bring to developing countries.  She comes to CHP from the Department of Political Science at Stanford where she conducted her dissertation research on the impact of rule changes in the GATT/WTO on U.S. trade policy (Ph.D. expected June 2009).

She received her A.B. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, where she studied international economic policy.  Prior to coming to Stanford, Rachel assisted with economic research and policy in the Economic Studies division of the Brookings Institution, the State Department, and the President’s Council of Economic Advisers.
