CHP/PCOR is responsible for three fellowship programs.
- Health Care Research and Health Policy
Fellowship for Graduate Students, Postdoctoral Scholars
Stanford University's Health Care Research and Health Policy Fellowship offers graduate students, medical students, and postdoctoral trainees advanced preparation for a career in health care research. The fellowship program is supported by a National Research Service Award training grant from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
Currently accepting applications. Applications must be received by April 15, 2009. - Special Fellowship Program in Advanced Geriatrics
Fellowship for Postdoctoral Scholars, Professionals/International Scholars
Postdoctoral physicians and non-physicians in clinical professions are eligible to apply. The Special Fellowship Program in Advanced Geriatrics (SFPAG), sponsored by the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System, is a two-year program training program to develop leadership in geriatrics that includes significant research time, as well as clinical and leadership development activities. Research areas include health services research or basic science in agiing-related areas.

- VA Physician Post-residency Fellowship in Health Services Research and Development
Fellowship for Postdoctoral Scholars
The Physician Post-residency Fellowship in Health Services Research and Development trains physicians for leadership positions in health services research, primary care research and education. The program of study is flexible, accommodating a variety of career goals. The primary focus is providing research skills needed for a career in academic medicine.
