The number and size of physician groups has been increasing over time. There are a number of ways that physician groups could influence the delivery of health care. This project examines the relationship between practice size and treatment patterns for AMI patients. An important part of the project is the development of techniques for linking information about physician practice size to information about patient records. The presentation will discuss this linkage and data set creation, as well as the project's analytic results, which suggest that practice patterns do vary with practice size.
