Donald Berwick (keynote speaker) - president, CEO and co-founder at Institute for Healthcare Improvement


Dr. Berwick is one of the nation's leading authorities on health care quality and improvement issues. He is president, CEO and co-founder of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement in Boston, Mass. He is also clinical professor of pediatrics and health care policy at the Harvard Medical School. The lecturership honors the legacy of Dr. John Eisenberg who directed the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality from 1997 to 2002. The lectureship is funded by the California Healthcare Foundation and is co-sponsored by the Center for Health Policy/Center for Primary Care and Outcomes Research at Stanford University; the School of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley; and the Institute for Health Policy Studies at the University of California, San Francisco.
